Rustic Square Art Studio Art Summer Camp is dedicated to all children who enjoy art & crafts and other creative activities like games full of imagination. Each week of art camp is inspired by American, European, and world-famous artists. Each week includes main art techniques such as acrylic painting, drawing, collage, watercolor, printmaking - linocut, ceramic clay modeling and sculpting, wool felting, and mixed media. We even do origami and sensory activities such as slime, papier-mache, kinetic sand, and play dough. Some weeks are conducted in English and others in Polish.
What’s Art Summer Camp for Kids?
During day art camp, we usually do the most famous art techniques such as painting, drawing, collage, grattage, frottage, printmaking, sculpting & clay modeling, origami, and sensory activities such as a slime party on Friday afternoon. We introduce some aspects of art each week, like lines, colors, shapes, spaces, value, and texture in our projects. We also teach design principles such as balance, unity, variety, emphasis, movement, pattern, and proportion. On Fridays, we end each week with a slime party or other sensory activities. Every day we learn some elements of the history of art, geography, social studies, and science. During snack/lunchtime, we talk about different food and cuisines worldwide and listen to some relaxing jazz music. To make the program an exciting experience, any mobile device will not be allowed during our camp so that children can get their own unique ideas instead of looking for some on the internet.
Children must bring their lunch and a snack to camp, as food is unavailable. Drinking water is available at the studio all day long. Small group environment in the air-conditioned art studio. Refrigerator available during mealtime. All art materials, large paper bags for artworks and plastic boxes for slime, and waterproof aprons are included. Any artwork that the children do, or goodie bags, will be brought home on Fridays.
